Zojirushi Water Boiler: There are too many restrictions and warnings about the use of this Water Boiler. I find it way too complicated for the everyday use for an elderly person. The instructions were difficult and confusing to follow. It is definately not practical for a single person to use.

I feel this water boiler was misleading in it’s description. I had assumed this was like other boilers/electric kettles that it was fairly instant. I hoped it would replace my last electric kettle that boiled water in approximately 2 minutes. I could not find a description anywhere of how long it takes to boil. This boiler takes 10-15minutes to boil water! This could be useful for a large family who will flip it on in the morning and use it all day long for various things. But for that first use, you’d have to wait for it to come to temp. Since it’s just my fiance and I, we needed something more instant since we only brew tea maybe once or twice a day so we returned it. It seems to be a nice product and fairly attractive, just beware that it is not an quick boiler.

I had an old old one of similar size and have always trusted this brand. In short, we made green teas and coffee (using Aeropress) and it was really great and consistent. The chime or musical notification when the water is ready is cute but could be turned off if that’s not your cup of tea. Various temperature setting and timer function worked flawlessly. Looking forward to its many years of trustworthy service just like before! Oh and this one is easy on electricity too!!

I got the waterboiler/warmer a month ago and I love it. Many times befor I would get the water boiling and forget to make tea, then later find a cold kettle. Now i just set it up in the morning before i get dressed and i have tea all day long whenever i want. Which helps me kick the soda habit.
I enjoy having different temperatures for tea.
However one word of caution, it is not “instant”, so if you need hot water in a hurry this isnt for you. It seems to take about 15 minute for a boil. that ssid once you have it heated it will stay “ready” as long as you want.

Having purchased this to replace a much older water boiler/warmer I have to say that I’m very impressed by the features. The non-stick inner coating seems to be working really well and I’ve had a minimum of minerals left on the inside which have been easy to wipe off. The variable water temperature settings are very convenient, as is the alarm sound (although it’s a little startling at first!) Overall the thing that’s been the nicest surprise is how little water loss this suffers, I can leave it on day and night and even if I don’t use it for several days the water level stays about the same instead of losing a lot to steam!
If I had to change anything, I guess I could wish that they offered different color options, but I’ve really been loving it!
