Zojirushi CD-LCC30 Micom 3.0-Liter Electric Dispensing Pot

This is an excellent machine which boils water and keeps it at a high temperature. However, like anything else, once you pour water into a cup, it cools in five minutes. I also bought small a Bunn canister hot plate, not a mug warmer, which keeps the coffee or tea at a really hot temperature. In fact, one could get by with a small microwave, in the office, then the Bunn hot plate. The Zojibushi is good if multiple people are needing a quick hot water supply.

I had the pot for a while now and very happy with its performance. However, I am worried about its non-stick coding which very likely is a Teflon coding is not good for us over long run due to health concern related to Teflon. Can anyone tell me if the interior coding is Teflon or not?

I read a lot of water dispensing pot reviews. Debate on which one to buy, finally decide this one. I really love it.

I had a stainless steel (inner area) Airpot from Zojirushi years ago, it works great and I got tired of it (I wanted a newer model), so I gave it to my friend, who just love it for her new born at the time. That was few years ago, when I gave it to her. That pot served me over 10 years.
This newer model is fancier with the computer temp and reboil bottoms, I was happy with it. I notice this one hard water build up faster then the older model, and after a year, the taste of the water got funnier, I just don’t like it anymore, I gave it away to another friend, who does not notice anything wrong with the taste. Who was very appreciated for this expensive boiler. After a year, I was told the inner area of the cover broke, due to the steam and usage. I could not believed only after couple of years of use. It’s a fine product, for the price I paid, I would expect it last longer like the first one, it’s not the case. I now switch to another brand that cost about 1/2 as much, does the same job.

I just bought one of these and it works great. I am however a little concerned because the interior container that holds the hot water is painted. Now most paints that can handle high temperatures and prolonged usage are industrial in nature which raises a safety concern for me. Many paints/plastics leach PCB’s when hot liquid comes into contact with them.
Is that a concern with this product if I’m going to use daily for the next 5/10 years?
